STUDENTS
We are a university teaching practice and occasionally medical, nursing or health visitor students are attached to us for training. Your permission will always be requested before a student is present during a consultation. We are very grateful to patients for their co-operation with this important element of student teaching.
OBTAINING TEST RESULTS
The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of the results or they are not capable of understanding the results.
Please ring after 1pm when the telephone is less busy.
DISCHARGE FROM HOSPITAL
If you spend a period of time in hospital with a serious illness, having had an operation or having a baby please let the practice know when you have been discharged home. It can take a number of days for hospital correspondence to reach the Practice, and the doctor, district nurse or health visitor may wish to visit you.
PATIENTS’ COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS AND COMPLAINTS
We aim to be flexible and responsive in providing the services you require. If you feel the service could be improved in any way, then please feel free to pass your comments to Mrs Bruce, practice manager or complete one of our feedback forms available in the waiting room or from reception. If you have a complaint please bring this to our attention as soon as possible to allow us the opportunity to address your concerns and if necessary conduct a full investigation. If you wish to make a formal complaint, please ask the receptionist for a practice complaints leaflet.
